Volunteering

We are located in West Orlando, off of Clarcona Ocoee Road, near Hiawassee Road.

 

We are searching for volunteers who are driven and are able to commit to volunteering a minimum of 2 hours per week, but if you are able to do more, we can always use the help!

We have morning, afternoon and early evening shifts available every single day of the week.

We are searching for volunteers who are driven and are able to commit to volunteering 6 hours or more each month! 

 

We welcome volunteers over the age of 18! If you are 17 years old or younger, your parents must sign a consent form before you will be able to volunteer! 

 

About the volunteer program:

-There are a number of volunteer opportunities at S.C.A.R.S, including, but not limited to, dog walking, bathing the dogs, cleaning and sanitizing, leash training, basic training and play time with the animals. 

-Due to training, we ask our volunteers to commit to volunteering for at least 6 hours a month for at least 6 months. 

-Training will count as volunteer hours for volunteers in need of community service hours. 

-We have flexible volunteer hours

Volunteer Opportunities 

  • Basic Training. 

  • Bathing.   

  • Cleaning.  

  • Dog Walking.

  • Leash Training.

  • Off-site adoption events.

  • Play time.

  • Litter box and crate cleaning.

  • Yard work and up-keep of our home (which is where we have the rescue).
